Economic Problem

The first economic problem which has surfaced is the control over gaming in the state of Georgia; the State Lottery System in the state monopolizes gaming.

The agency which enforces the rules and regulations for the lottery is the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. This structure is limiting the State’s Revenues.

What should be enacted for economic growth in this state is as follows:
a. Termination and/or modification of the State's agreement with the Lottery Organization which allows the lottery system to limit gaming in the state; and
b. Create a Gaming Commission to not only regulate gaming in the state, but to initiate rules and regulations.

A gaming commission could create rules and regulations for the state economic control and free the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to return to some of its more important duties.
